A reminder. The high school in Parkland, Fla. had an armed police officer on site.

Interesting theory, but before jumping to it, maybe you could produce some actual evidence of any collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Jesus fucking Christ, the House actually *passed* the bill taking all the enforcement teeth out of the ADA? Fucking cartoon villains.

The idea that a handful of security guards could stop a school shooting is infantile.

They *might* keep the death total down a little, which would certainly be a wonderful goal, but they're just as likely to increase it in the confusion.

All of this information, and more is already catalogued, and used in a meaningful way.

Walgreens/CVS knows who's on psychotropic drugs. Amazon/VISA/MasterCard/Walmart knows who is buying AR-15s and stocking up on ammunition. YouTube/Google knows who is watching Anwar al-Awlaki videos, researching how to make a pressure cooker bomb, is obsessed with the Columbine killers. Facebook/YouTube/Instagram know who is making disturbing social media posts. School systems know which kids have been expelled for reasons related to concerns of violence. The local police know which homes have been visited over 20 times in the last couple of years.

And, this information is already sorted to determine what products you might be interested in buying. It could just as easily be used to identify who is a threat to the public.

And, of course, in this case, as with the case of the Boston Marathon bombers, and others, the actual killer had been brought to the attention of the FBI.

And? We know the investigation is still going on. That doesn’t change my statement at all.

I get the sense you’re at a loss for words.

Meanwhile, the folsk who were breathlessly updating us on the stock market a week ago seem to have missed that the DJIA is back over 25,000. It's had six straight days of gains, and is up over 1,350 points from last Thursday's close. (And up even more from the intraday low.)

The correction looks to have been a natural shakeout, and a buying opportunity.
