President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Trump lashing out on Twitter was entirely predictable. He’s wrong on all fronts, as usual.

Like Sarah YankeeFan Sanders, he thinks the whole Mueller investigation is over. It’s probably not even halftime.

Was there collusion? I have no idea. Nobody does, despite Trump defenders who stomp up and down. That’s why the investigation is ongoing.

Collusion will be hard to prove without a smoking gun. Maybe there is one. Maybe there isn’t.

Obstruction of Justice is a better bet. The pieces seem to be in place to make that case.

As for the long-term outcome? It very well could be Trump’s finances. The whole reason he’s scared of his tax returns. A case can be built for money laundering of major Russian money. Which would explain why he’s so favorable toward Russia. And why he refuses to impose the sanctions overwhelming passed by Congress. That’s what he’s most afraid of and could bring him down. He’s beholden to Russians because of his illegal financial ties.

Russia definitely fucked with the election. So his long “hoax” defense is gone. And Mueller made it nearly impossible to shut it down.

And Trump, all of the sudden, admits Russia fucked with the election. After months of denials. Wonder why that is?

As always, it comes back to “follow the money.”

Mueller appears to be taking the steps toward that.

In the meantime, Trump and his cult will continue to follow the nonsense of their main propoganda arm, Fox News. Their very own Tokyo Rose. Er, Tokyo Hannity.

 

This is glorious.

 

I really miss last Monday when the biggest issue facing America was whether they like the Obama paintings.

 

Whether you are an actual Trumpist or whether you disingenuously claim impartiality while limiting your comments exclusively to disdain of his critics, history will not be kind. Your guy spent the evening claiming the FBI was responsible for the murder of 17 people.
