Are there fanfiction forums for politics? Is YankeeFan stealing his material from them or is he trying it out there first before bringing it here?

Congress voted overwhelmingly and in a bipartisan way to impose new sanctions. Trump has not imposed them - for some odd reason.

In Obama’s defense, Russia only recently became a threat.

But what will the collateral damage be? It was quite apparent that there was nothing to Whitewater. The accusation was that the Clinton's gave McDougal's corrupt savings and loan regulatory favors. The flaw in that argument was that the primary regulator of saving and loans were the Feds. The Feds had effectively stopped regulating savings and loans in the 80's and were giving everyone favors. The savings and loan crisis cost one percent of GNP. So Starr never really found anything on that.

Which means he's been as hard on Russia as Obama, right?

These weren't sanctions that had been imposed under Obama, right?

This just isn't true. Why have people been trying to pass this off?

People went to jail because of Whitewater, and Susan McDougal went to jail to avoid te avoid testifying about the Clintons.

Remember that timed you expressed concern over the President's struggles with credibility? Or that time you expressed concern about Fox New's struggles with credibility? Or that time you expressed concern about Rush Limbaugh's struggle with credibility?

    Yeah - me neither. Weird.

Not admitting they helped or not enforcing sanctions are both bad and say the same thing.
Also, I think we do know some of what they did with russia and it was clear they were not naive.

Not to do with your post but it occurred to me this morning that the media needs to stop saying russia "tried" to interfere and just say they interfered. We now know that for a fact. It is the result that can be questioned but we know they went beyond trying.
