President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Three things that seem to get the most "likes" on Facebook, from my non-scientific observation:

1. Cute kid photos.
2. Cute couple photos.
3. Something about God or Jesus.
4. Picture of a newly purchased gun.

 

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic. It's a difficult needle to thread, and I understand why a lot of people on the left are very skeptical of attempts to steer discussion away from gun control.

 

Her? Really?

 

I get that. There are other issues related to mass shootings that are worthy of discussion. The problem is some folks trying to push those things so they can run away from gun control for political reasons. I know you aren't doing that, but some other posters here are doing exactly that.

 

SAS claims Trump is in favor of beefing up the background check system. He must be channeling newspaper publishers and wanting to "do more with less."

I grew up in rural, crazy-ass, only-happens-in Ohio and was still freaked out by Indiana when I moved here.

 

It doesn't necessarily happen often, mind you. But when it does, it gets a lot of support. (Closely related: Check-ins at the shooting range.)

 

And, not for nothing, but I have several family members who moved to Texas. My uncle is liberal in most ways that I can tell, but he enjoys shooting.
