He's like the bizarro version of the guy on track for the hall-of-fame before an injury curtails his career.

Trump. Like, four years of unparalleled embarrassing, infantile behavior and he's got this puppy sewn up, but can we project this first-year performance across the rest of his term and call him the worst right now?

I'm cool with slapping the worst label now, but then, I loathe him and most of the people I interact with on a day-to-day basis are still all-in supporters, which makes me hate him more. So I'm clearly biased.

The #VetsForGunReform hashtag on Twitter is interesting reading. Lots of rank-and-file military folks talking about how AR-style platforms shouldn’t be used for anything but warfighting and kept out of civilian hands.

More BOTS!!! Messin' with the TWEETER!!!

One hour after news broke about the school shooting in Florida last week, Twitter accounts suspected of having links to Russia released hundreds of posts taking up the gun control debate.

The accounts addressed the news with the speed of a cable news network. Some adopted the hashtag #guncontrolnow. Others used #gunreformnow and #Parklandshooting. Earlier on Wednesday, before the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., many of those accounts had been focused on the investigation by the special counsel Robert S. Mueller III into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

“This is pretty typical for them, to hop on breaking news like this,” said Jonathon Morgan, chief executive of New Knowledge, a company that tracks online disinformation campaigns. “The bots focus on anything that is divisive for Americans. Almost systematically.”

There were much, much bigger problems in the room to solve at that time, mainly, guaranteeing the future of a young country by crafting a document that would protect protect the rights of the smaller states (the Senate and Electoral College) while giving more power, in part, to the larger, richer states (the House), while also establishing an independent judiciary (Supreme Court), and creating checks and balances to prevent the president from becoming King George III.

Leaders led. Compromise ensued. The country survived instead of continuing the chaos of the Articles of Confederation.

It also established a procedure where problems like the 3/5 compromise you mention, as well as citizenship for slaves, women's voting rights, etc., could also be corrected in the future.

It's the Constitution, the bedrock of democracy and our republic, and not a every-generation tax bill chocked-full of loopholes written by lobbyists to further their pet special interests.
