We are addressing different questions.

I believe that, given two cooperative and motivated sides, that, yes, we could create a Constitution that would make the current Constitution a relic.

I also concede that, yes, it is difficult to envision two cooperative and motivated sides, given the current environment.

 

I hope they all refuse.
(because trumpers have set that as a new standard)

So let's say Trump is right (a stretch, I know, but work with me) and Obama didn't do anything about the Russian meddling. Again, Obama isn't president now. As Trump keeps reminding us, he's the president. So why isn't he doing anything? Too busy working on his short game, I guess.

 

This could bump him up to a Cabinet position.

That was my point. We don't have two motivated sides and the idea that they could cooperate to get it done right now is laughable.

Sure, if everybody wanted to do it and we could actually work together, we could come up with a system that fits our modern society better. But those ifs are both unrealistic.

 

I can't wait for Nunes to be indicted.
