I also read this means Martinez at DH and Ramirez at 1B, but don't worry, Ramirez used the "Tom Brady diet" so I'm sure he'll be in great shape via totally natural methods this year.

D-backs, Yankees, Rays make three-team trade

Three-team trade sends infielder Brandon Drury to the Yankees and outfielder Steven Souza, Jr. to the Diamondbacks. Souza strikes out a lot, but his on-base percentage isn't bad and he hit 30 home runs last season. This also makes Yasmany Tomas a very expensive pinch hitter if he isn't traded.

Drury disappointed last year, but he gives them a stopgap at second or third base. He's young enough to still be more than that, but at least gives them a veteran option ahead of Gleyber Torres and Miguel Andujar. They gave up two prospects for him, with pitcher Taylor Widener going to Arizona.

The Rays got second base prospect Nick Solak from the Yankees and pitcher Anthony Banda from the Diamondbaks along with two players to be named.

Can Drury field his position at either 2nd or 3rd?

He has mostly played second base for Arizona, but I believe third was his primary position coming up. If I remember correctly, he was competing with Lamb for the starting third base job at the start of 2016, but ended up moving around a lot to keep his bat in the lineup after Lamb won the starting job.

It's the fantasy baseball guy in me. I know a lot more about his offensive skill and where he has played than I do about how good or bad he is defensively.

Rays sign Carlos Gomez to 1-year deal

    So let's see ...

Mike Moustakas, Jonathan Lucroy, Logan Morrison, Neil Walker and Carlos Gonzalez among the big-name free agent hitters still on the market (also Lucas Duda and Jon Jay, if you count them as big names).

Jake Arrieta, Lance Lynn, Alex Cobb and Greg Holland still available among pitchers.

    Drury was an excellent get.

That’s a crazy amount of talent sitting on there. Can’t remember anything like this off-season.
