Yeah, I know. Whiny brats, not wanting to be shot at. Next thing, they'll be asking for participation trophies.

 

You are responding to an imaginary post.

 

They elected to participate in a nationally televised debate with sitting United States senators and the sitting United States president. They aren't delicate flowers in need of your protection. Their entire goal is to spur a national discussion.

Your approach is patronizing.

 

I have a huge problem with people calling these kids liars and and crisis actors and the like. Silly me.
They don't want to be shot at. The views of the people on the other side of the desk do not matter.

 

What does any of that have to do with the conversation you and I are having?

You said that their policy points are not subject to criticism.

 

Sure. And no one should lie about them or attack them personally.

Their rage and passion is understandable. They have every right to be heard.

But their arguments and positions are not infallible.

People have every right to disagree with them, and to criticize their arguments and even their behavior when rude or impolite.

 

What criticisms do you have of their policy points?
