    I'm not for arming teachers. No one is expecting @Webster's mom to carry a weapon.

    But, I'm also not sure why this is so controversial. It's a lot like the ides of allowing commercial airline pilots to carry a handgun.

    This would be strictly voluntary, and like with the pilots, only those licensed to carry would be able to bring a weapon on campus.

    Now, given the military background of many pilots, I'd expect a far greater percentage of pilots to be licensed than teachers, but so what?

    The football coach did run unarmed towards the shooter. Wouldn't it have been better if he, who was licensed to carry, had his firearm on him?

    And, this probably would result in a lot of teachers or administrators carrying, but so what? And, maybe we'd see more guns on campus in Texas than in New York City, or Chicago, but that's fine too. These shootings seem to happen more frequently where there is more of a gun culture, so it would be somewhat more likely that they would encounter an armed response.

    CNN said that he wanted to give an extensive speech instead of asking a question. The forum was for asking questions, not making speeches. That's not scripting.

    You don't get to do that.

    Hey @Smallpotatoes, the story this kid repeated is false.

    Can I call him a liar?

    It was? Did you watch the Town Hall?

    There were a lot of "speeches" made.

    CNN suggested scripted questions to him.

    @Smallpotatoes is the best.

    You'd almost think he's doing satire.

    Who doesn't get to do what?

    This is what you said:

    You have repeatedly made strident proclamations along these lines. You said that even their policy ideas are not subject to criticism.
