Then you send Jason Grimsley in to take that shit down in the dead of night.

Sounds like the plot line to David Grann’s next story.

I don't know. One is younger and more current.
Take the scandals and program suspicions aside. If everything were on the up and up, comparing their careers:
    Is Pitino lesser than Calipari?

Let me reiterate, for the record, that I find both of them completely repugnant.

Jim Boeheim recently said that Pitino is the greatest college basketball coach after John Wooden. Of course, Jimmy B is the King of Hyperbole. Always has been.

Even if Pitino was the second-best all-time, his legacy is destroyed. Not even Roger Clemens stood on a dais and suggested legal action against the entity that brought him down -- all to save his reputation. It's a show to convince people that he's innocent, and it's far too late for that.

    THE King of Hyperbole?

Calipari has improved since he got there. He replaced Billy Donavan, who was a disaster and Tubby, who won a championship with Pitino's recruits but then saw the program slide. Only Rupp, in the all-white era, and Pitino, briefly, have been more successful.

In a competition over which coach has seen his legacy tarnished the most give Calipari time. His legacy may still sink below that 0f Pitino.

If the FBI has as much as has been reported, I can't see how Calipari and his bagman Worldwide Wes don't get swept up in it. I don't for a single moment believe that he's clean.

Calipari has had NCAA appearances vacated at two schools. Why would anyone believe he's clean?
