It's like porn. You keep upping the ante, and next thing you know, you are watching Cinderella fuck a walrus, and nothing less will do. I suspect it all has something to do with how bored and anesthesized we are at this point, as a modern society.

They get a funding based on the number of kids in the school. With 3,000 kids, there's room for security. And, this wasn't a poor school district.

I recently serviced an espresso machine at a similarly sized school. To get in the building, I had to enter the main entrance, which led to a lobby, with locked doors on the other side of it.

Attached to the lobby, behind glass, was a security office, populated by five or six security officers. After handing over my ID, I was given a contractor's badge, buzzed in, and then escorted by security to the cafeteria.

Now, I'm not sure so many security guards should have all been in one place, but it seems entirely reasonable.

Do you wish he had his gun on him, or are you relieved he didn't?

And, from what I understand, he was in his office, in another building when the shooting began, and was spotted in a golf cart, or something similar, headed to building 12.

He didn't stumble upon the shooter. He rushed towards him. Not sure why you want to reject that.

There's literally no one making that argument.

I don't think there are many high schools in America without a police officer on duty. There was at mine in the mid-90s, mostly to police gang activity.

How many high school mass shootings were there between Columbine and Parkland? Just one or two, right?

TF has used the word "machine guns" several times this morning. It's not an accident. He's intentionally roping you into an argument in which you pedantically defend AR-15s.

I wonder if it has literally ever happened - like one time - that someone was able to stave off an unprovoked attacker or intruder with an AR-15 and would not have been able to do the same with semi-automatic pistol. Like ever.

But, that's not the only reason why people buy an AR-15.

I'm sure WriteThinking could argue that you could get just as drunk on PBR as you can on fancy bourbon or Scotch. And, if that was your goal, maybe she'd be right.

This has been predicted for days. Let's see if it happens.

Here's the LA Times from five days ago.

Former Trump aide Richard Gates to plead guilty; agrees to testify against Manafort, sources say

And, instead of pleading guilty, he got more charges dropped on him, which makes you think he hasn't been cooperating, as has been reported.

Maybe the additional charges will do the trick, but this looks like a leak from the prosecution, designed to squeeze Manafort.
