Objectively, the German win over Canada on par with 1980US over USSR?

Serious question that I don't know the answer to but feel like I should:

    Are you from Russia?

I just caught the replay of the semifinal. (Yes I did!) Good for the Americans, but my goodness did Canada have the yips.

Between that and the women's skip burning an opponent's stone in undignified fashion and then the men failing to medal entirely, it wasn't a good couple days for Canadian curling. May need Gretzky to come in and rescue it.

I'm from the Secret City, but not one behind any iron curtains.

In the last exhibition game against the Soviets at Madison Square Garden on February 9, 1980, the Soviets crushed the Americans 10–3.

It was a question. Not a statement. But point taken.

I am looking forward to the American final. Funny thing, watching (having it on in the background) the womens teams from japan korea, etc. was sort of like listening to a Yoko Ono song.
