Interesting historical note: the program that hires me to be my son’s caregiver stems from Reagan. The idea was that it was the state’s responsibility to make sure that the most vulnerable were cared for, but that families could do it more effectively and cost-effectively than building state facilities.

Conservatism used to mean stuff like that. Even putting aside the president that openly mocks the disabled, could you imagine Paul Ryan proposing something like that?

Manafort's statement after his partner Gates rolled over for Mueller:

Translation: Don't grease me, Russia, I'm not talking. I don't want to be found dead of a "heart attack" induced by blunt force trauma.
