    Boras used to to a great job selling the "value" of giving one of his clients a $100 million deal. Now teams have their own number crunchers and don't have to take his numbers at face value. And they know what they require. No sense paying extra for a skill or value that your team doesn't require.

    I still don't understand the Russell Wilson to the Yankees deal. Considering he's been in the NFL for five years, why would a team still want him signed, rather than just do the celebrity hanging out at spring training thing we see every year? Shoot, at least Will Ferrell and Garth Brooks actually played in games.

    Particularly since Wilson isn't really all that good at baseball. Lots of strikeouts and no power in A-ball at age 22 last time he tried it.

    I think it is because he had signed with the Rangers and the team still had his rights. The Yankees acquired him in a trade.
