Yeah, but this is the Democrat proposal. It would, as Marco Rubio said during the CNN town hall, effectively ban all semi-automatics. People cheared this, and I thought @Dick Whitman was one of them.

This is what democrats mean when they say they want to ban assault weapons.

The other side of the coin is that passing that would go a long way toward ending these mass shootings. It wouldn't end them all, but I would bet that the rate would drop by a significant percentage, a third or better. In great part it would limit shooters to pistols, which don't have the same range, rate of aimed fire or damage potential as an AR.

It would take a legislative war in Congress to pass it, though.

I didn't realize the Constitution does not require Members of Congress to live in the district they represent, only the state the district is in.

    Maybe.

I’ve got a Remington 788 with a detachable magazine. It holds three rounds and is a bolt action. It would certainly help if the Democrats would consult with gun folks in writing these things. I should hire out to liberals and MSM as a firearms consultant.

Georgia legislature vowing to gut tax breaks for Delta over NRA snub. I don't know which is worse, the deals given to companies to lure business to a city or state, or cutting them because of a company not giving special deals to a specific subset of voters.

Every company not giving discounts to NRA members hates America - including gun manufacturers!

That's going to boil down to a legislator threatening to punish Delta for First Amendment speech. He loses, but he gets to posture for the voters.

Districts get redrawn; state borders do not. :)

    Toward, man. Toward.

You’ve been doing it a lot, and it’s been bothering me, because I am diseased and can’t ignore it.
