We were pretty destructive as a country because we were denied it, too.

I wouldn't call organized crime weak-minded. Just opportunistic.

This always comes up, and it is absolutely true, but I don't see what it adds to the discussion other than a distraction.

    It's a convenient false equivalency.

    Like cars.

    And stepladders.

It is unlike this place to occasionally veer off course during a debate.

I really hope John Kelly's actual, unfiltered thoughts on the Trumps someday are shared with the world. I bet he's invented invective no one's ever even thought of to describe Jared.

Ted Koppel voice: "Kelly's descriptions of Kushner's attire and where he could stick the blue blazer, khakis, his comb-over and backpack full of Men's Health magazines are shocking, unairable and yet the most precise I as a journalist and, in fact, we as a society, have ever encountered."

Fair enough. I didn't mean to single you out or even this place. I meant in general, the "what about alcohol?" response is a common one when talking about gun violence. I've just never understood what point those using it are trying to make. The two are only similar in that they can be destructive to our country's fabric, but that shouldn't mean we can't talk about one without bringing up or addressing the other.

Yeah. Because we lost the tax revenue and had to find new sources of revenue.

I always crack up at the part where they test the catapult with the cat.

I know, that means I support animal abuse.
