I don't get where the steel and aluminum tariffs idea came from. Typically something like this has someone within the WH championing it. Maybe it's just a threat for a better deal (Canada makes up more than half of our steel exports). I would be more in favor of requiring any project that receives public funding or a tax break be required to us domestic steee.
