Not everything is a gotcha. Sometimes people find things informative and interesting and post them, just in case someone else is interested and not simply looking to knee-jerk in response.

Yeah, great use of time, engaging in Trump’s Twitter silliness.

I have no problem with it, to be clear.

Please don't misunderstand. Not you. I don't think this was a gotcha from you - but from the writer.

The thing that characterizes astroturf campaigns is that they're hidden. They're not grass roots movements, but instead a secretive manipulation on the part of other, often distant parties with their own motives.

They look like grass roots, but they're fake.

My impression here is that everyone was out in the open. Deutch. Wasserman-Schultz. The networks. The money.

If everything is right out where you can see it, it's not "astroturfing."

Why it's almost as fulfilling as posting 30+ times a day on SJ!

Is it possible he doesn't understand that his MAGA cult will literally pay the price for these tariffs?

I’m not an elected official. I also am chained to my phone watching my kids all day. I’m sure you can relate.

You know who benefits from increasing the price of steel? People who own lots of existing large buildings that begin to look more attractive relative to new construction.
