Duke held its love fest for Grayson Allen on senior night. St Mike professed his love for his senior. As objectively good as Allen is, And he is a very good college player, he would not have gotten the chance to star at many programs.

Dirty player or player coached to be dirty?

If he had been coached to be dirty, he wouldn't be the only one.
The issue is that his play was tolerated for far too long.

Cannot imagine a Duke player who repeatedly disregarded StMike’s coaching and yet continued to play. So he was just st doing what he was coached to do.

If colleges paid the kids to play, would they have to meet academic eligibility? Would each player get the same? Or would a star player make more because he deserves to eat off campus at Red Lobster, the scrubs can eat at Chipotle. The walk ons can get seconds at the dorm cafeteria.

Maybe this would be the resurgence of the urban schools. The endorsement opportunities in NYC, Boston, Chicago, LA and Philly can earn more than Indiana, Kansas and Georgia.

The team picked to finish 13th in the SEC just finished the regular season ranked 13th . . . in the nation.

In the ACC, the No. 1 team in the country was picked sixth and the defending national champs finished sixth.

    But it wasn’t a real first-place finish!

UVa won at Cameron and put a beat down on UNC on the way to winning the league by four games, but sure.
