Looks like you guys got 'em all. Good work.

I'll scare up my notes and post a few more tomorrow.

It's a really fun night. I'm sure this board could assemble a hell of an impressive team. The team that's won has won four years in a row. We keep trying to close the gap, but they are a step ahead right now.

    3) Louis

Schmeling won in 1936, which I believe was Louis' first loss.

That's correct. What's funny is that I said, "It's Louis, because it was at Yankee Stadium and I know Louis won at Yankee Stadium!" (They showed us the ticket stub and asked who won the fight.)

Um, both fights were at Yankee Stadium.

Good one to trip people on. Player and Hogan each won nine.

Indeed it was, Schmeling knocked him out in the 12th round. He said before the fight he thought Louis kept his left hand too low. In the rematch he never got the chance to see if Louis had fixed that, Louis backed him to the ropes, hit him so hard he busted some of his vertebrae.

My grandfather was at the second fight. The story I heard from my dad was my grandfather was late getting to his seat. He walked up just in time to see Schmeling's corner launch the towel into the ring.

When Marvis Frazier took on Mike Tyson in 1986, I went to the bar to get a pitcher of beer. Took about two minutes. When I got back to the table, my buddy said the fight was over. I laughed. "No, really," he said. I laughed. ... But, yeah, it was over. In 30 seconds.

We've hit upon a way that MLB could solve its pace-of-play issues. You jack one to lead off the game, fucking ballgame.
