Another 6 days in the book: 405 minutes, 8,340 calories, 28.5 miles.

In the last 2 weeks that 820 minutes, 17,115 calories, 55.5 miles.

    Gettin' there.

Signed up for a May 6 marathon this afternoon. Hopefully I'll be up to speed in time.

Two days without a workout, a pizza and a family style frozen dinner, I felt like a total slug this morning. Was able to get in a home workout just now to feel somewhat human.

    My weekend:

    Saturday: 22 miles @8:26 pace
    Sunday: 6 miles @6:44 pace

My 6-mile pace record, which I haven't tried to set in a while but used to be my fitness gauge, is 6:39/mile last June.

So not bad. It was also completely crazypants to go for the gold on the day after a 22-mile run and I wouldn't advise that kind of back-to-back effort with regularity, but I wanted to push myself on tired legs, for marathon purposes.

    5 minutes walking
    15 minutes running (incline 3)
    10 minutes running (incline 0-2)
    1 minute cool-down walk

Was feeling good about it until I read Dick’s post.

How fast is your running pace?

I only did 5.2 on the incline run (jog).

Rest was about 5.7 average. Finished at 6.1. I normally average about 6 or a little more. Tried to be a little more methodical today with the incline portion.

I did wear my fleece so I upped the sweat quotient.

20 minutes weight work (biceps, triceps, forearms)
10 minutes walking with 20-pound kettle balls (incline between 3-6)
    10 minutes sledgehammering (50 one-handed, 250 regular)

Sledgehammering actually sounds like fun. What's your hammer weight?
