I liked the ending. It was at times tedious getting there. Grisly violence had many people at my viewing cringing. I'm betting on a sequel; the guy who wrote the book it's based on is signed up for a trilogy.

So much Coke. The first time I came here there was a "Coke shortage." So everyone was stocking up before it ran out, which of course it never did. But it's conspiracy theories like that where many people now are like, we've heard things like this before, they're lying about the water, we'll be fine.

They do realize that the consequences of running out of water are much more severe than running out of Coke, right?
    water > Coke

I'm probably biased, though, on account of I work for a water company.

Your .. erm ... friend should not bring children to this movie. And said friend should also be ready for equal opportunity disrobing.

My friend thinks that's a perfectly reasonable price to have to pay.

    You're like Newman:
Willing to put up with a little Jerry if it'll get you a lot of Elaine.

Mudbound - Interesting movie about two families struggling in the South, one white, one black. The most interesting aspect of it is seeing two veterans return home from WWII and bond, but there is a lot of other stuff that never really pays off. Mary J. Blige was good, but Rob Morgan - who played her husband is really the heart of the movie. Jason Clarke, Carey Lowell, Garrett Dillahunt and Jonathan Banks are also good, but their characters are kind of one-note.

Icarus, the documentary on Russian doping that won the Oscar this year. Highly recommend.

  12. Beerfest (again)

The Last Boy Scout, which is on Netflix. Still a great, awesome movie.
