She says she wishes more people shared that info. I imagine she thinks it would be inspiring and wouldn't be a bad thing for writers to hear now and then.
Posters were talking about writing a book, I saw this and thought of them.

I think "Get Out" was the usual for that type of movie. Good, but I was surprised it was Oscar worthy. (I also think the first "stranger Things" was a typical Stephen King type of movie.) I do think "12 Years" was worthy.

Life of Pi and Silver Lining Playbook better than Argo
I liked American Hustle better that year
The Imitation Game and Whiplash better than Birdman the next year
    Brooklyn better than Spotlight

I don’t think they get Best Picture a lot of the time in retrospect

I guess my default assumption is that every accomplishment requires great effort, struggle and sacrifice

I don't think of Adam West or Glen Campbell as film figures, so I wouldn't call them snubs. Frank Vincent and Stephen Furst, however...

Seems like a simple thing to go back through TMZ, ET.com and People to see the write-ups of famous people who died.

That's been going on for a long time. Ben Hur won best picture the same year North by Northwest, Some Like it Hot and Anatomy of a Murder came out. Hitchcock, Wilder and Preminger one up each other with masterpieces while they give the statue to one great chariot race scene wedged into two hours of Charlton Heston's shitty acting.

    That article is slightly dated:
When legendary producer Harvey Weinstein was in charge of Miramax...

If you listen to the Olympic gold medalists all you heard was hard work and sacrifice.
The greatest painters labored and stressed over every detail.

There are few endeavors in life that are natural physical size and ability with a modicum of effort at developing a skill. That’s the NBA.

Most everything else requires talent plus intensely acquired skill.

I don't know. If I have to read one more article about a player tossing up 1,000 jumpers a day to work on their shot.

    Now models....

If players can make the NBA with a modicum of effort at developing a skill, soccer shouldn't require any effort for failed point guards.
