Barry Bonds won four consecutive NL MVP awards, in the period from 2001-2004. Who were the winners in the years immediately before and after his streak?

    2005 was Albert Pujols

How many Toronto Blue Jays have led the AL in home runs? And how many times in total has the AL home run champ been a Blue Jay?

    Jose Bautista, George Bell.

    Three.

EDIT: I knew Bautista was twice. Wrong on the rest of the answer, though.

Fred McGriff did it at least once, I think.

    Also Jesse Barfield once.

Bell didn't do it in his big year because Mark McGwire hit 49 that year as a rookie.

Barfield was the first (I think he had 40 that season), I don't recall McGriff doing it

Right. I thought for sure Bautista twice and Bell with 47, and that I might forget about other guys. But I had forgotten that was McGwire's year.

Since I have to shovel now, the assists leader is current NBA ref Leon Wood.
