    What about Alabama? No team with 15 losses, which it will have unless it wins the tournament, should ever receive an at-large bid.

    Anybody know what Tubby's buyout at Memphis is? I'm guessing the FedEx guy has already backed up a plane full o' cash to the loading dock of the administration building on campus. Counsel for Mr. Smith had some interesting comments about back-stabbing today.

    I'll second this motion in a heartbeat. I'd rather see Middle Tennessee get in than any seventh-place team that went 9-7 in conference games. This all reinforces the notion that 64 teams would be much better than 68; there just aren't that many that truly deserve the opportunity.

    Arizona vs. USC in Pac-12 championship. Both teams had assistant coaches arrested in preseason in the pay-to-sign scandal. Arizona has a guy who twice has been suspended for PEDs. Arizona's head coach allegedly caught on tape offering a top prospect $100k. USC "clears" several of its players who allegedly received money to sign after a cursory in-house "investigation."

    If there is no meaningful punishment, it pays to cheat.
