While a player from Hanover High School was going up for a dunk on Friday night during the Kansas Class 1A-I state semifinals, a defender pushed him from behind, sending him crashing into the basket stanchion.

Per The Topeka Capital-Journal, a flagrant was called, and while the player who was pushed left the game after the play, he wound up returning, throwing down another huge dunk and finishing with 18 points. Hanover went on to win to advance to the championship game.

The best food review I ever read described this horribly bad steak. Paragraph after paragraph about how bad the steak, ambiance, wait staff, etc., was. Just crucified the place. But in closing, it pointed out a positive: "The baked potato was nice."

Impressive that he finished the dunk.
Also, I'm not sure if it was a good or bad thing that he hit the stanchion. With the momentum and height he had built up, he might have ended up in the eighth row if that hadn't been there to stop him.

 

I am building my man cave and came across three videos from three different video stores that no longer exist.
I no longer have a video player to view them.

One of them is Arnold Schwarzenegger's Cobra (1986).
Another is Jean Claude Van Damme's 1988 Blood Sport (the man who pronounces world peace warald piss).
The other one is the surfing movie The Endless Summer (1966) which I actually never watched but never returned because I was always going to get around to watching it.

I think I will just leave it unwatched. The universe obviously never wanted me to see it.

I have a lot of CDs from ex-girlfriends who, like those old video stores, will also never see them again. A few naughty pictures as well. Who no one but Fart will ever see.

I am not even kidding about this, I have thought long and hard about pitching a culture piece about the fart to a few national magazines.
