Mariners Reds game just ended with a guy getting thrown out at home.

I know this a minefield on which I should not step, but as a Phillies fan, my reaction is, it couldn't hurt and could do some good.

Still waiting to hear the terms of the deal. Sounds like a stopgap until Torres is ready, but it's a bit troubling that they still don't think he's ready for the Show.

Torres is coming off elbow surgery, so maybe that's a factor.

It sounds like he's healthy, but they want to get him some more minor league at-bats. It's probably nothing to worry about, but I just didn't expect them to be more excited about Andujar this spring than Torres (rightfully so - Andujar's been tearing the cover off the ball).

Torres is also, I think, just 21, has only a handful of Triple A games, and, as indicated, is coming off Tommy John in the non-throwing arm. They were going to start him in Triple A anyways to delay his free agency, so they might as well keep him down there until he's fully ready.

Torres was always going to start the year in the minors. The injury, the only 23 games above Triple-A, delaying free agency a year bu keeping him down a month, and the bad numbers so far this spring.
Once they got Drury I think that sealed his fate he'd wouldn't make the big club at the start of the year

Apparently Walker is one year for 5.

I think at worst this puts him on the bench as insurance if Andujar struggles and needs to be sent down.

Ohtani got rocked by a Mexican League team.
This guy is looking like a real lemon so far.

Like to see Andujar at 3B, have Drury back up him and Walker, but not sure if that will happen.
