Childhood misunderstandings

This is a a very sad commentary on my life, but I've learned a few things on this thread.

 

I've always pictured the piggy pushing a grocery cart, and I'm not going to have that image turned into Saw VIII.

 

If the one pig didn't got shopping, where'd the roast beef come from?

 

My dad alway said this when he coached my youth teams and I'd be so secretly embarrassed.

 

In the mid-80s, I loved to ride the Tina Turner at the park. Still a fan now, though I know it better these days as a teeter-totter.

 

Since we are on the piggies, what does the third one get? Roast beef or bread and butter?

 

...nothing and like it.

 

Roast beef. FROM THE ONE WHO WENT TO THE MARKET AND CAME BACK WITH ROAST BEEF AND DIDN'T GET KILLED.

 

Here's the clue, guys. The nursery rhyme says "this little piggy went to market," not "went to the market."

You go to the market to shop. You go to market to be sold.

 

This is like finding out Santa and Mrs. Claus have a sex dungeon.

 

Isn't that common knowledge?
