When you broad brush like that, it totally for sure makes you seem like a super sane person.

 

You have to remember that the MAL is a specific subset overrepresented by the media (and in places like this), but they are the squeaky wheels who do, indeed, hate the very idea that anyone would see the world differently than they do (and so you get personal vitriol like telling people they should die/kill themselves as political “debate”). To deny this and the effect it has had on the Democratic Party at large would be purposefully ignorant.

But it’s also true that the whites-first base is a delicate organism that can’t be upset. That’s why it’s a good thing that Trump tiptoed around the feelings of Nazi murderers after Charlottesville, while any politician to the left of Jeb Bush must disavow the hotep guy screaming on the bus about how the Jews created gay crack to control the black population before they’re allowed to discuss anything else.

 

Oh, I know full well that there are destructive elements in the GOP, too. Remember, I’m more open-minded than most around here.
