They corrected the times (I emailed because mine seemed off by 15-20 seconds compared to my watch) and I moved up to 11th.

With God as my witness, I am winning that motherfucker next year.

Start training now in full gear and it’ll be a breeze without it.

Just got back from a doctor appointment. He said -- and I have a hard time believing this -- that only 5 patients in 30 years have done what I've done ... go from diabetic diagnoses to out of diabetic range.

BP was 126/70. He's fine with the 70 but wants me to keep an eye on the 126. I blame the massive amount of mixed nuts over the last 6 months.

Other than that I'm pretty healthy.

Addictive personalities are wonderful when they are directed positively.

What'd you say? I was nose-deep in a plate of yayo.

How much faster was the winner than you?

A lot. Like 4 minutes. But that's mitigated by a couple of things: (1) I feel like I've finally figured out the tricks to training for this thing; and (2) I am going to get an "elite" start time next year so I don't get slowed down by race traffic in the stairwells going later in the day.

So how does it work when you finish one tower? Elevator down, then race to the next set, or what? And, same building or different buildings?

Elevator down. Four identical towers, but connected by breezeways. You never set foot outside.

If I put in my 22 miles tomorrow, as planned, I will have run my first-ever 80-mile week. (That's on top of the stair climb race last Sunday.)

FYI, here are the towers we raced last Sunday.
