I find it hard to believe the absentees, which come from the entirety of the district will change that much. Last time there was a contested race in a general election the Republican had 216k votes to 122k for the Dem. In the 2016 election Murphy collected 293k votes running unopposed.

According to this, Washington County alone has 1,195 absentee ballots that hadn't been counted yet. Of course, it's best to take anything political from the Tribune-Review with a grain of salt.
