    The compromise to be made is one with the electorate.

    Read the police report. It's even better. The husband watched the encounter standing a box looking through the window, only to have the box break under him. After the incident, he fled to the local wal-mart. You can't make this up.

    That sort of compromise can work in very limited areas like, for example, a heavily gerrymandered district designed specifically to elect a Republican safely.

    Try it on a national scale and you're going to get what Clinton got: tepid turnout from key liberal demographics.

    Even better, according to further research that "trailer park compound" appears to be two rundown rental trailers on the back end of some homeowner's land, sitting next to the Walmart parking lot.

    One lesson that I think does extend both through districts like Lamb's and others is that Democrats need to tap into anti-establishment sentiment. Anti-establishment can be centrist or progressive, but it resonates with voters right now either way.
