LOL those dummies at UNCG.... up by 3 late, and they try a nonchalant alley opp from 20 feet away. Turnover.
    Then ballgame.

Well, I wasn't totally off with this prediction. Penn hung around for about 3/4 of the game, but didn't make enough FTs (5-for-14) and had too long of a scoring drought late in the first half.

For the Quakers (or any 16 seed) to pull an upset absolutely everything needs to go right. And to Kansas' credit, they pulled out of their funk even without their injured big man.

There hasn't been a single-digit game between a 1 and 16 since Arizona beat Weber State by nine in 2014.

Did Arizona have a top 20 defense and top 40 offense?

I can never remember, is Torin Dorn the one who cut off Jaime's hand, or the one who poisoned his daughter/niece?

From what I've heard, it was a ploy to get more mediocre power conference teams in the tournament. The big money conferences were pissed that their 8th place teams were being left out because piddlin nobody conferences like the MEAC and Horizon League were guaranteed an automatic spot. So the NCAA's solution was to concoct a "first four" that would enable them to squeeze in four more power conference at large teams without taking away any automatic bids.

Whatever the reason, it sucks. Get rid of the first four.

And, apparently, at least according to @Cosmo, the mid-majors love it!

And that's why the tournament is the best.

I love, love, LOVE teams that don't take timeouts under 10 seconds.

The offense always has the advantage in transition.
