USC is probably thanking its lucky stars it got shuttled off to the NIT and can struggle in relative anonymity.

Gonzaga's leading scorer today: Jonathan Williams III
Buffalo's leading scorer today: Wes Clark

What do these two have in common? Both former Mizzou players during the Kim Anderson experience.

DISREGARD: @Batman dropped the accurate knowledge upthread. My excuse is that I don't accept that 1985 happened.

Hey, at least the 21-point loss only tied the largest margin of defeat by a 13 over a 4.

Sienna dumped Vanderbilt by that number in 2008.

Second largest. Navy beat LSU 78-55 in 1985.

As a side note, in looking over the list of major upsets, Richmond is the only team to win as a 13, 14 AND 15 seed.

Like Trump, it seems there's a tweet for every occasion.

After just one day of the tournament, two teams west of the Rockies remain alive. And one of them (Nevada) hasn't played yet.

EDIT: Whoops, make it three ... New Mexico State gets its shot at Clemson on Friday.

Thanks, MTM ... math is hard.

Just ask the P-B-P guy working the Buffalo-Arizona game, who declared the Bulls "lead by 29" when the score was 79-60. (I guess it seemed like it, the way they worked over Arizona)

Three - New Mexico State is technically east of the Continental Divide/Rocky Mountains.

Geez, I weep for my conference. $100k doesn't go as far as it used to.

I wasn't thrilled that Arizona embarrassed themselves like that, but if it made Bayless look like an idiot, then that's one good thing that came out of it.

Pac-12 still has five alive in the NIT!!!!

Honestly, someone with too much time on their hands needs to put together a mock ad about the "Conference of Champions" that they usually show around halftime.
