UMBC’s social media guy could be the breakout star of the tournament. He is on fire. Check it out.

Agree with all of this. Virginia is one of the few teams I took real interest in this year, because I was fascinated by how they defensively kept flat out shutting down more talented teams. Well, where the hell was that tonight? UMBC was getting driving lanes and open shots that the ACC bluebloods like Duke and UNC could not find against Virginia. It's like an entirely different UVa team showed up tonight.

I've long wanted to see a 16/1 upset, and I'm glad it finally happened. But, I must say, this Virginia team is NOT the type of No. 1 seed I wanted to see be the victim. I was hoping it would be one of these Kentucky or Duke teams loaded with one and done lottery studs getting their commeuppance. Virginia was a different sort of No. 1 seed, it was a less-talented immensely-hard working bunch that greatly overachieved to earn that No. 1 seed.

I'm sure they now wish they hadn't worked so hard.

According to something I just saw, 0.6 percent of CBS Sports brackets had UMBC.

41.1 percent had UVA making it to the title game, 23.4 percent winning it all.

My South is pretty much shredded - literally and figuratively.

To be honest, I wasn't terribly confident in Virginia to begin with. I filled out three different brackets; in one I had them getting to the Elite 8 and losing to Cincinnati, another I had them in the Sweet 16 and getting punched out by Kentucky, and in the third I had them losing in the second round to Creighton. Of course, the last one was the one I had Wichita State winning it all, so ...

Mizzou's gonna have a hard time matching its 20 first-half points in the second half. Flarda State is kicking Mizzou's ass worse than UMBC whipped Virginia.

Greg Gard woke up in a cold sweat tonight and started updating his resume for reasons he doesn’t even understand.
