Tennessee-Kentucky playing for a spot in the Final Four?

I went huge on Kentucky — two brackets and an auction pool where we get an increasing amount for each win. Cha-ching!

We also get a 100 percent luxury tax after our total bids hit $100.

    Someone bought Virginia for $70.

Yeah, I thought they had a shot to get to the Final Four, though it wouldn’t have been a surprise if they got beat early. If UVa had a bad shooting night and a team like K-State got some breaks, then sure, K-State could win.

But I was absolutely sure that no matter what a team like UMBC would never be able to score enough, no matter how off UVa was on offense.

Ho hum. A Jamie Dixon-coached team chokes on its dick in March.

If I'm Kentucky I'm not sleeping well tonight. UB has some athletes and plays pretty fearless.

UVA was not just a #1 seed. They were The #1 seed. Pretty much by definition that made UMBC the lowest seed in the tourney.

The NCAA, shockingly, fucked that up ... since the MEAC-SWAC game was clearly the worst team in the field. By like 100 in the RPI. But there's Xavier, the worst No. 1 seed by far, getting Texas Southern. The committee hates UVa probably. Something to do with Jefferson and what he liked to do with his slaves...

FWIW. UMBC Athletics has 5500 Twitter followers 4 hours ago. They are up to 32,000 now

I was rooting for Stephen F. Austin to pull an upset so I could do an Austin 3.16 post.
