Can anyone explain why the NCAA jams so many games into the late window on the first Saturday and Sunday instead of spreading them through the day?

A 9:30 pm Eastern start makes no sense and if either of the single games in the early windows are non competitive, that a audience is lost.

I think things changed with the TNT/TBS/TruTV/ChannelYouCan'tFind era. The first Sunday used to end before 60 Minutes, thereby providing lead-in audience.
