The Tweet was crude, embarrassing and it's sad that's where we are and that we have people defending it. And not funny.

    What does "defending it" mean?

I don't think it was a laugh riot. But I also am not clutching my pearls over it. Is that "defending it"?

Your generation had poetry slams. I don’t want to hear anything sbout millenial affectations.

Every generation has affectations. We had flannel shirts, too. But infantilizing themselves - often via "Harry Potter" - is definitely a millennial affectation.

Hey, we liked the flannel thing too and decided to appropriate it.

    We’re REALLY good at that.

Seriously, I think infantilizing became the reaction for a generation that really never had any real control or clout. The only thing they could control was that weird space of culture and society the Boomers didn’t want.

Funny. I was thinking about Sister Jean last night while watching Kentucky and Kansas State and have the camera pan Ashley Judd a couple of times. Interesting that I don’t hear much bitching about her being a super fan. I wonder why...

Is there some noticeable level of "bitching" going on about Sister Jean "being a super fan" that I am unaware of? She's the most celebrated nun since Mother Theresa and (rightfully) universally beloved.
