10 teams, 5x5 head-to-head. Four outfielders, two utility. Two keepers offered, but I took none because I figured I'd get better value drafting early.

    Tell me what you think.

    C: Posey, McCann
    1B: Bellinger, RZimmerman, Morrison
    2B: LeMahieu, Kinsler
    SS: Correa
    3B: KSeager
OF: Pollock, Hamilton, Eaton, Herrera, Schwarber
SP: Sale, Strasburg, Paxton, SGray, CAnderson, Roark
RP: Chapman, CAllen, AMiller, Neris, Brach

I didn’t get Sanchez so I was punting on catcher. Then my computer locked up and I ended up with Hedges and Grandal. One-C league so hopefully that platoon works out.

    Which keepers were offered?

For a 10-team league, that seems like a weak outfield, but that doesn't seem like a bad team overall.

Agree totally on the outfield. I think I get too hung up on grabbing the best from the "weak" positions rather than just taking the best numbers potential at the start of the draft, regardless of position.

I have a similar habit, so I end up with loaded infields and shaky outfields. At that point, a lot depends on your ability to find viable options on the wire.

Some of the traditionally shallow positions are deep this year.

Starting pitchers can wait. Stock up on offense, steals, and saves.

In a traditional 5X5, I agree with this approach. I used to be in a keeper league with weekly lineups. You had to have seven starting pitchers active each week and innings pitched was one of the categories. Teams that didn't put enough value into starting pitching would get buried. We had a guy join the league with a philosophy like yours and his teams were terrible until he adjusted.

Guy comes in second once and he’s a fucking expert.

Speaking of SPs, I’d like to know what guys like pern, Guy and oop think about this roster:

    Kershaw
    Nola
    Berrios
    Taillon
    Walker
    Bundy

That depends on the number of teams, the number of pitcher spots, the categories and whether it is a redraft or keeper league. Could be a hell of a staff if Berrios and Taillon take a step forward. You've certainly got a lot of front-line ability there.
