Being able to take food into just about any event.

When the first/second day of March Madness pretty much had four games going simultaneously all day, not the stagger.

    Half-hour NFL pregame shows.

    Superstation 17

The complete absence of white outs or black outs or any other clothing-related gimmick in the stands.

Skip Carey somehow knowing where each person who caught a foul ball was from.

    The Braves in the playoffs.

The gravel in the back of Larry Munson's throat.

Taking an annual trip to a different ballpark with my dad.

Reaching a bowl game actually meaning something.

When Tweets weren't stories on SportsCenter.

    NCAA Football on Xbox.

Baseball opening day starting on a Monday in April in Cincy during the day.
Teams giving a scoreboard "greeting" to people without it being paid for. Double for not using the ceremonial first pitch as a marketing opportunity.
Wondering if the Cubs or Red Sox would ever win a Series.

    Caring about sports
I follow sports because I find them interesting still, but I don't really care very much about them anymore. I'm not really emotionally invested anymore.

    • WOR with Ralph Kiner and Tim McCarver bringing Mets baseball to my house in the Pittsburgh suburbs.
    • Same goes for TBS broadcasting 8 million Braves games.
    • Each NBA arena having its own distinct character before money and greed gave everyone a 20,000 playpen loaded with luxury boxes.
    • Starter jackets.
    • Four divisions in Major League Baseball and the NBA.
    • Vin and Joe doing the Saturday Game of the Week.

And Major League Baseball magazine on ESPN.

Speaking of ESPN, I miss some of the niche filler sports they had on before they got too big to fail - fitness shows, pool tournaments, roller derby, Legends of World Class Wrestling, cheesebag Roy Firestone's show, etc.
