I'd go with Trout, Altuve or Trea Turner at No. 3. Arenado is a safer option than Turner, but the shortstop eligibility and the dominance in one category (steals) makes Turner the pick with the better upside.

If you do get Turner, that means you would likely need a power bat in the second round. Maybe somebody like Rizzo or Bryant falls to you there.

I went Arenado. Since got Votto, Martinez, Upton and Yelich.

Was hoping to get a pitcher by now but the outfielders kept falling. Couldn’t pass them up.

    Pitcher favorites in middle rounds?

Can't go wrong with Arenado at No. 3. You may just need a speed guy in the middle infield late, like a Peraza.

Don't sleep on Greinke if he slips. I know people were worried about the drop in velocity during Spring Training, but that happened last year, too. He was sharp in his last outing and he's still a solid No. 2.

Quintana can be a safe middle-round guy. Luke Weaver had a great spring and could take a nice step forward. Clevinger is too low in many rankings, so you could sneak him late. If you want to go the risky route, Morton racks up strikeouts and ground balls. Now if he can only stay healthy.

Greinke plunged into the 10th round and went one pick before me.

Ended up with Archer, Cole, Bauer, Richards, Faria (chose him over Weaver), Peacock, Diaz and Allen.

Shortstop was the last starting spot I filled and I went with DeJong. Know nothing about him but I’ve heard good things the past few weeks.

Weaver is better than Faria and Peacock is stuck in a long relief role, so I'm not sure how much value he can give you. The rest of that group seems pretty solid, especially if Richards can stay healthy. Of course, that's always a significant question mark with Richars.

DeJong was excellent last season, but I know quite a few people see him as the new version of Aledmys Diaz, who came out of nowhere to post a big 2016 for the Cardinals, then stunk it up in 2017.

Added Giolito late, mostly as a wishful thinking pick. Needed at least one White Sox player. Have none on my only other team.

That's the best part of not giving a damn about any MLB team. It makes fantasy baseball drafting easier.

I actually have some hope for Giolito this season. Could be a great flier pick.

Had my final draft last night. Shallow 10-teamer with 22-man rosters, picking second overall. We could keep 1 IF, 1 OF, 1 P. I kept Turner and Bellinger (OF eligibility helped there). I opted not to keep a pitcher since McCullers was my best hurler. This way I got to begin picking second in the third round, rather than waiting until ninth in the fourth round. Wound up with this:

    C Contreras
    1B Bellinger
    2B Rizzo
    3B Bregman
    SS Turner
    OF Olson
    OF Carlos Santana
    OF Bruce
    DH Happ
    BN Acuna
    BN Albies
    BN Torres
    BN Brinson

    SP Severino
    SP Keuchel
    SP Arrieta
    SP Cole
    SP Snell
    SP Weaver
    RP Hader
    RP Leone
    RP Reed

I'm going to need to pick up a closer and probably try to get an OF bat (or another 1B and shift Bellinger to OF), but my SPs and infield are looking pretty strong. As usual, I skewed too much on the young side, but if one or two of those four bench players breaks out, I've got a formidable lineup.

Those are some middling outfielders, but that's what's going to happen when you put together an infield like yours. You really are going to be short on saves.
