Not as far as I know. In our business, we all have non competes. Would have to sit out a year in the market. Either that or pick up and move a family.

When you work for Sinclair as an anchor, always assume you'll get let go anyway. It's an unstable TV news life. Has been for years.

You’d have a pretty good case trying to get out of a non compete if you quit/are fired for refusing to read that statement.

Sinclair has 110 stations and a legal department.

Some anchor in Toledo or Evansville is squeezing by on 60 grand a year.

that clause of "... or other duties as assigned by management" can be a hard fight in court.

I don't see how the competing stations in each town aren't going to town on this. Ads saying, "when we talk, it's us, not some boss far away," "we don't have anybody from Putin working for us," like that.

I have never met a single person who feels that way. You must know some awful people.

Sinclair isn't a serious player in most medium markets. They have good stations in Seattle, DC, Little Rock, Birmingham (all recent purchases) and the rest are bottom feeders.

For most top rated stations competing against a Sinclair, they have a 35 share. Sinclair has a 7. They can do whatever they want.

Some of us just keep stressing that "we've lived here for years and follow the issues that matter to you". That works a lot
