Pretty good Final Four for the girl in long sleeves.

How did they miss that hack on the MissSt. player just before the hack on the ND player? Good thing for the sport they'll show the last shot and not much else. Don't know if the officiating was bad or what, but kind of sloppy.
Reminded me of the clankfest in the men's final last year.

You can say what you want about the women's game, but it would be hard to ask for more than the two semifinals and the final.

Well, I'll concede the games had exciting endings, but there was so much blinding incompetence in the closing minutes of the two games I watched that I had trouble taking the excitement seriously.

And that extends even to the final split second of the season. So you're down by 3 with 0.1 second left, the only thing that can possibly save you is a miracle three pointer, so what does MSU do? Why, of course, pass it to the girl standing next to the rim. Umm, what? Why the fuck did MSU even have anyone positioned inside the three point zone, much less pass it to a person there?

It's almost like their coach was purposely trying to lose.

Bullshit. One could ask for competence. Exciting finishes only go so far.

If you want to say you think the men are better basketball players, all right. But there's been lots of incompetence on display in the men's tournament, too. By your logic, nobody would watch any games but the NBA Finals.

Nah. They don't play defense, and nobody can hit a mid-range jumper.

I guess this is slightly patronizing, but I thought it was a lot of fun to watch.

Oh, go fuck yourself, Gee. You're such a hackneyed phony.

Did I ever suggest incompetence was exclusive to the women's game? No, I absolutely did not, but your dumbass tried to frame it that way because you thought you saw a chance to score some cheap PC brownie points.

A better question might be, why can't people freely point out blunders made in a women's game without being subject to baseless accusatory crap like this? If a top tier men's coach made the same blunder--sending the ball to someone positioned at the hoop in a situation where a 3 pointer is the only thing that can possibly save them--it would be the hot story/scandal du jour, and that coach would be ruthlessly eviscerated on the talk radio/TV talking head circuit the next day.

Oh, but don't mention it if it happens in the women's game ...or else.

Defensive much? You're the one who started by saying you didn't enjoy an exciting game because it didn't meet your aesthetic standards. To me, THAT's bullshit. I was lucky enough to have a long career and in the course of it I covered horrible Super Bowls that were a crime to the sport of football and high school field hockey state tournament games that were bizarre and thrilling events. Fun is fun. Some games are fun, some aren't. This game was more fun to watch than Villanova-Kansas. Why do we watch sports anyway? For the thrill.

I feel like you can’t get a 3 off in 0.1. The only way to score three is to get fouled on a tip-in.

    Right?
