2018 Pro Wrestling thread

I was in and out wrestling during that period, but I do remember him being on Smackdown for a really long time. Most of the 2000s, wasn't it? I came back full-time around 2007 or so and he was in a Smackdown feud with Edge. I remember enjoying their Wrestlemania 24 match, but knowing absolutely nothing about the feud.

 

Well, Kid Rock is going to be at Mania. You don't think ...

 

I mean, it's not like they've announced a musical guest for WM, like they've done in years past with Pitbull or FloRida, so ... I'm thinking that might be the match.

So what do they do with Elias? Braun's tag-team partner? The Rock?

 

I listen to Lance Storm and Don "Cyrus" Callis' Killing the Town podcast, and they spend every other week, seemingly, getting in their digs on Disco Inferno, with Callis being especially pointed. Of course, Disco does another podcast that's run by Konnan and it seems they're really trying to build a rivalry between the two shows, so it's hard to see how much of this 'feud' is a shoot and how much is a work. However, I pretty much echo what John B. Foster said above -- nobody really takes Mr. Gillberti seriously when he tries to sound like a wrestling expert.

 

Yeah, Taker was on Smackdown for the most part back then.

 

Big rumor is Rock does a music thing with Elias.

Braun's tag parter has been rumored to be anyone from: Mysterio, Big Show, Kane, Ellsworth, Hawkins (well, probably not now), Elias.

It's been a pretty intriguing storyline.

 

Yeah, Disco was a low-midcarder, although I think he's done some behind the scenes stuff. He's not exactly a top star speaking out.

 

I really dig the Rollins-Balor “i just cant stand this guy” heat they have between them and I kind of hope they feud for 6 months after Mania

 

Speaking of Cody Rhodes – do you believe we will see him back in the WWE in the next few years? Or, do you think that he’s really happy where he is, and he has no desire for a return right now?

 

Maybe a mixture of both? It's hard for me to believe that he's gone for good, given the stature his father had there. I do think he stays away until he's a hot "get" for them, and I'm not sure if he's at that point yet.

 

Hes not been kind to HHH. We’ve yet to see that sort of return play out; most of the burned bridges Trips has mended have been guys who fell out with Vince or the old guard. Be interesting to see if he can do the same/admit he was wrong about Cody

 

He's called Trips a Hall of Famer and one of the greatest of all time. He questioned some creative decisions, but I don't remember him tearing into HHH that hard. Did I miss something?
