Further to the officials - at some point the NHL decreed the officials would be paid in the currency of the country they live in. So when the Canuck buck went for a bath in the 90s, some of them moved south. I know Kerry Fraser did, perhaps because he had at least six kids in a Brady-Bunch household.

His mind was made up once he walked through the hairspray section at the Port Huron Costco.

Going to assume @TigerVols wasn't pleased with the call at the end of Preds-Panthers last night.

He bought Mike Keenan's house in South Jersey after Keenan was fired by the Flyers.

I still don't understand what goalie interference is. It tends to change depending on the situation and the team involved.

Glad I'm not the only one confused there. Was watching the Caps a few weeks ago and the goalie got waylaid, obvious interference. Or so I thought. Nope. Good goal. About a week later, Caps claimed goalie interference when there was clearly no contact and actually a bit of space between the goalie and the alleged offender. Goal overturned.

The only thing I could see on that overturned goal was Arvidsson's skates inadvertently touching Luongo's, which I guess they determined didn't allow Luongo to get turned around to play his position. I think the contact was too incidental to call, but what do I know?

Four days left in the regular season, and only four of the 16 playoff slots have officially been determined: Toronto as the Atlantic 3, Washington as the Metro 1, Minnesota as the Central 3, and Vegas as the Pacific 1.

Winnipeg could still conceivably catch Nashville for the Central 1, though unlikely. The Metro 2-3 and both East wild cards are still volatile. Boston and Tampa are still deadlocked atop the Atlantic. The Pacific 2-3 are still up for grabs. Should be a fun final weekend.

Two things have been determined (as seen on Facebook late last night).

    Teams in playoffs:

    California 3, Canada 2
    California 3, Original Six 2
