I miss the days of watching baseball highlights and not hearing that idiot John Sterling and his idiotic home run calls.

This week? The Tiger Woods PGA Tour Masters game for the PS3. Too bad EA lost the license. Would have been sick on a next-gen system.

When you are born Paul Mahon why change your name to Lee Hamilton?

I miss the old baseball schedule. A trip out west for the sox and yanks following each other and maybe Baltimore? They would make the swing through Oakland As CALIFORNIA Angels and Seattle. Then a central trip, east coast trip, etc. There was such a nice rhythm to the season. Now with expansion, odd number of teams, etc. it is more like a connect the dots drawing on a map.

It was much easier to follow the schedule when there were 24 teams. Each division was grouped in threes and played another group. So the Dodgers, Padres and Giants would travel east and each play a series against the Mets, Phillies and Expos while the Reds, Astros and Braves were playing the Pirates, Cubs and Cardinals.

I'll never miss funny sports stuff like this.

Not for the rolled ankle but because he has 3 top 10 finishes and has enough to worry about this week without having to be bothered by a nagging injury.

Before sports video games emerged I loved the Avalon Hill/SI board games like Paydirt football, Title Bout boxing, Superstar Baseball and I remember my brothers having horse racing and auto racing games.

I know we had those in my house. They seemed pretty cool, but my siblings were into video games by the time I discovered them on the shelf.
