Trump meeting with and having dinner with Alan Dershowitz tonight, according to Maggie Haberman. That'd be a slick move, hiring the attorney the non-legal world associates with OJ Simpson as your lawyer. Dershowitz has publicly said the President cannot obstruct justice, which would as a surprise to Richard Nixon.

Did Dershowitz say the president cannot obstruct justice or did he say that the firing of James Comey was not obstruction?

The former. Didn't do specifics. Said today the search of Cohen's office violated the 4th through 7th amendments to the Constitution.

What an empty article. A string of personal attacks that offers nothing that isn't already known. It's not even informed speculation of what the raid means, what Cohen knows, or what Cohen might do. The glee that some of these writers have in stating nothing is amazing.

The blogger Popehat (popehat.com), an attorney of a libertarian bent, does a very good job of explaining WHY Cohen is in trouble plenty. Bottom line: Many higher-ups had to sign off on that warrant, including a federal judge, and they wouldn't do so without convincing evidence he was guilty of a crime. Not indisputable evidence, but strong evidence.

The college football playoff will be shittier. It'll be like the NIT of college football.

That's great. I loved this one:

"Trump must know this may be one of the most dangerous moments in his entire life, not just his presidency. The likelihood is that Mueller and the FBI are now in possession of the Black Books of Trump, NDAs from enough of Trump’s various affairs that you can staff a 12-pole strip club with plenty of girls left for the Champagne rooms. It’s only speculation at this point, but it’s quite likely that Cohen was the keeper of many of Trump’s lending documents, contracts, business arrangements, and the Kryptonite of Trump’s fragile self-worth: the long-sought tax returns."

The sad part about America 2018 is I would guess 80 percent of our elected leaders are very good people who want to do good things for the country, the other 20 percent don't have much to offer but heated rhetoric the pushes this notion of a divide.
Look at Jeff Flake. He came off as one one the most conservative Senators (97% rating from the American Conservative Union) and he's retiring because he's not Trump enough for Arizona. And he's coming off since as a reasonable person that he no longer feels the need to try and up his cred.
What has happened in America is too many people tune out politics except during presidential elections. In the interim the legislators are playing to the fringes who need louder rhetoric and more extreme policies to be heard above the fray.

They're playing to the fringes of their respective parties so that they avoid motivating a primary challenge, and they play to the donors who bought them. Honest politicians stay bought, right?
