This is fucked. Now anything one person tells a reporter is sent out as news?

He's a fucking buffoon, and he still thinks every day is his giant TV adventure party.

Fire Rosenstein. Replace him with a flunky. Fire Mueller. That's a political ride into the Big Horn, since most of the country polled likes Mueller and wants to see him finish his investigation. Possible Blue Wave becomes a tsunami.

None of that is worse than firing the director of the FBI and specifically proclaiming in public that you did it because he wouldn't stop investigating your campaign, the one that was being run by a literal Russian agent.

Yes, it is. A lot more has come out since then. We didn't know for sure how tight Manafort's ties were. We've had, what, another five or six months of watching Trump deal with this investigation? Yes, the Republicans have been utterly spineless, but I'm not sure how many of them are really so committed that they'll ride Trump straight down the crapper. Any of them in anything approaching a contested district will have to know that they'll catch one helluva blowback. Sure, the really Red States will lemming right on down, and probably don't have a choice since they'll be punished if they don't back Trump, but that's a minority of the vote.

The ones who aren't committed to Trump will just not seek reelection and go hide in private life for awhile.

They're already facing an unimaginable blowback. They've already made up their minds how to react.

Trumpists and republicans and conservatives should sing Comey's praises until the end of time. Even if he winds up short-circuiting Trump's presidency, he made it happen in the first place. He helped deliver at least four years of republican rule in the White House. That's four more years than should have happened.
He delivered tax cuts that benefit those who don't need them at the expense of those who do. He delivered one SCOTUS justice so far and perhaps others. He will ultimately deliver dozens of other federal judges like the wife of Diaper Boy. (Unlike you in your reasonable, thoughtful answer to the Brown v. Board question, she refused to answer directly, terrified she might upset the racist base that secretly wishes we still had bathrooms for colored folk.) Her refusal to provide the sort of answer you offered on here the other day and her decision to spout a mealy-mouthed non-answer instead speaks volumes about how the Party of Lincoln has been overtaken.

No sourcing... but I gotta wonder who, and if it will come out.

Interesting hearing how fond Michael Cohen was of taping his meetings as well. That could get very interesting.
