President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

If you don't think the rest of the world is laughing at America for first electing Trump president, and now keeping him as president, I don't know what to tell you. Sure, go ahead and spend trillions on your military and "protect" the West while the rest of us get a mostly free ride. Great. But America has zero moral authority with most of the world right now. Do you have power? Yes. Of course. But like Trump, you don't have the world's respect anymore. There is a big difference when it comes to leadership. The lights have gone out in the shining city on a hill.

Also, these Syria strikes couldn't be a more obvious attempt to distract from all the other shit going on. The rest of the world knows that, too: America will bomb the shit out of places whenever Trump feels too much heat for paying off porn stars. "Leader of the free world," my ass. The free world's sickest joke, more like it.

 

He at least should have gotten our allies involved. Also, what’s your take on the use of chemical weapons? Cool or no?

 

I don't know (imagine that!). Not even McMaster said he knew for sure.

I think it's POSSIBLE there wasn't. I think it's reasonably likely there was. I will not be shocked either way. I also think it's reasonably likely if there was, it was done by the rebels. Just like the 2013 attack. And the White Helmets are always at the right place at exactly the right time to "document" everything.

I've seen videos from these "attacks" before. "Corpses" on the ground . . . a couple of them smiling . . . a couple more adjusting their weight to, uh, get more comfortable during their performance.

These are not the videos Nikki Haley shows to the UN, however.
