You should have given a better example then.

    .350/70 isn't such a slam dunk over .300/110

This conversation is truly the "Who's On First" of the analytical age.

It is a tomahawk 360 slam dunk over Yao Ming’s head.

He did. You're being you and I'm not wasting that kind of time on your attempts to actually make a play of your own for once.

And you, like Dickie, are still avoiding the real point. He had no issue at all with scouts basing their opinion of Ohtani on 14 spring training at-bats. Passan called it a verdict. (Though perhaps he didn't write the headline.) Small sample sizes don't trouble him at all there, but they are a massive problem for him now? Why? Because he only cares about small sample sizes when they interfere with his argument. He is more than happy to use them when they work in his favor.

Quote the post where he did this.

Maybe he can give us a ruling on whether or not it is too early to say you are spectacularly wrong about Ian Happ, with his .295 on-base percentage. :)

Actually, you quote the post where he claimed the scouts were premature in their judgement of Ohtani due to the small sample size. If he was consistent, you should have no problem finding it.
